Four spacious rooms, three upstairs (one with Jacuzzi) and one downstairs Suite. All have private baths. Relax in the parlor on a late 1800 sofa or enjoy a game of chess on the unique pewter chess set. Savor adelicious 3 course breakfast (Grandma's recipes). Prepared and served individually. Special diets are accommodated. Located only 2 blocks from the Senic Pamlico River and within walking distance of fine dining and shopping. Smoking allowed on porches. |

The Carolina House is located within the Historic Washington Walking Tour. Step out the front door and begin your self-guided tour. A brochure will be provided by your host. Only 2 blocks from the North Carolina Estuarian where you find science, art, nature and history with over 200 exhibits. A short drive will take you to Goose Creek State Park where you can experience the mysterious wonders of unhurried creeks, marshes and swamplands, which form a wilderness playground for hikers, paddlers, bird watchers and explorers. Rent a kayak and paddle down the river or only 3o minutes away you can learn even more about the Coastal Plains' geological legacy at the Fossil Museum, home to one of the world's grandest dig sites for fossils, including giant shark's teeth. Or tour a winery. Or just hang out in our historic town with history of early America. |
